Our vision is to make top end expertise available to car enthusiasts at all levels - from professional motorsport teams, to owners of high performance road cars.

HISTORY
The brain-child of Dave Heerdegen, Dtech started out as a contract tuning business. Dave would travel to the customer, hire a dyno and tune the customer’s vehicles. It soon became apparent that he needed a base from which he could offer solutions as well as tuning. This meant that any problems identified could be rectified straight away.
Dtech was established in 2007 and has now expanded into a full service Motorsport and Performance Centre.

“I got into motorsport by spending time on my own cars and experimenting with different ideas on how to get the best out of my vehicles. This lead to beocoming a member of the local Motorsport club and racing my road car at track days.
I’m a mechanic by trade. After leaving the workshop in Te Awamutu where I had completed my apprenticeship I moved to Tauranga and held a position in a workshop where I was able to use my skills to work with motorsport vehicles and attend race meets. I then worked in a EFI Engine Management company doing development and testing and dealer training. This allowed me to extend my knowledge around EFI tuning and I was also able to travel the world meeting other like-minded people.”
